Called a yard in Jersey and they said the phone keeps ringing for copper, which tracks with today at $6.59/lb (up 2.0% on the day, up 1.2% over 30 days). Aluminum is the opposite vibe, $3,392/mt (up 2.0% today) but still down 5.2% on the month, so the light stuff feels sticky. Steel keeps grinding higher, US HRC $1,198/st (up 0.3% today, up 3.8% in 30). The shiny side is ripping, gold up 14.1% in 30 days.
